Waldmeister Baumpflege & Forstservice was founded in 1998 by a consortium of three master foresters: Dieter Kraus, Martin Weber, and Jürgen Hoffmann. The founders combined their expertise in traditional forestry with modern arboriculture to create a comprehensive tree service company in Munich. Initially focusing on municipal contracts, the company expanded into commercial and residential markets through strategic marketing and service diversification. In 2010, they converted to a GmbH & Co. KG structure to facilitate growth and bring in junior partners. Today, two of the original founders remain active in management roles, with second-generation family members and senior employees holding partnership stakes in the business.

Workshop

Waldmeister's headquarters spans a 4,000 square meter facility on Munich's northern outskirts, purpose-built in 2015 with sustainability features including solar panels and rainwater collection systems. The main building houses modern offices for administrative staff, a digital mapping center with advanced tree inventory software, and a training classroom equipped with multimedia systems for continuing education. The separate equipment facility features climate-controlled storage for specialized gear, a state-of-the-art maintenance workshop with hydraulic lifts for vehicle servicing, and a clean room for calibrating diagnostic equipment. A dedicated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) department manages, inspects, and documents all safety gear, with individual lockers for each employee's assigned equipment.
