Lukas Schmidt
Lukas began his career with a traditional forestry apprenticeship before specializing in urban arboriculture. He joined Waldmeister as a crew leader in 2002 and worked his way up to operations director by demonstrating exceptional technical skill and leadership abilities.
Experience: Highly experienced master arborist with over 20 years in the field (9/10)
Favorite Jobs
- Veteran tree preservation
- Technical tree risk assessment
- Training junior staff
What I love about arboriculture is the perfect balance between technical precision and ecological understanding. Every tree tells a story, and our job is to ensure that story continues for generations to come.
Physical Condition
Despite his years of climbing, Lukas maintains excellent physical condition through regular exercise and proper technique. Today he's feeling energetic and focused, with no notable physical complaints.
Favorite Place
Lukas finds peace in the ancient oak grove at Nymphenburg Palace Park where he often goes early in the morning before the tourists arrive. The centuries-old trees remind him of why he chose this profession and the importance of preservation work. He particularly enjoys watching the seasonal changes in this historic landscape and often uses it as a teaching area for new apprentices.
