Leon Müller

Leon discovered arboriculture after first pursuing competitive rock climbing. A chance conversation with an arborist at his climbing gym led him to realize he could combine his natural athletic abilities with meaningful environmental work. After completing his formal training, he joined Waldmeister two years ago and has quickly become known for his exceptional climbing skills.

The physical challenge of accessing the crown of a 30-meter oak never gets old for me. I see each climb as a puzzle to solve, requiring both strength and strategy, and there's nothing more satisfying than completing precise work in positions most people couldn't imagine reaching.

Physical Condition

Leon sustained a minor cut on his forearm from a pruning saw yesterday that required three stitches. While not serious, it's causing him some discomfort today and limiting his climbing ability, so he's been reassigned to ground operations temporarily.

Favorite Place

Leon finds his greatest inspiration in the Saxon Switzerland National Park near his hometown, where unusual sandstone formations create a dramatic landscape dotted with remarkably adapted trees. The twisted pines growing from seemingly impossible rock crevices demonstrate nature's resilience and adaptability. He returns there regularly to climb the formations and study how the trees have developed specialized root systems and growth patterns in extreme conditions, often photographing unusual specimens to share with colleagues.
