He joined Holzbau Müller six years ago seeking more varied projects and opportunities to use traditional techniques. He has become particularly skilled at roof construction and is currently considering pursuing his master craftsman qualification.

The challenge of roof construction is that it combines structural engineering with weather protection and aesthetic considerations all in one system. I enjoy the satisfaction of completing a roof that will protect a building for decades while also defining its character.

Physical Condition

Jan is in excellent physical condition and maintains his fitness through regular rock climbing as a hobby. Today he is feeling well-rested and at full physical capacity, with no injuries or strains affecting his work performance.

Favorite Place

Jan particularly enjoys working in the main production floor's roof assembly area, where large jigs allow for the prefabrication of complete roof sections. The combination of precision layout work and the satisfaction of seeing large components take shape makes this his preferred workspace. He appreciates the overhead crane system that makes handling large timbers efficient and has personalized his workbench with specialized jigs he's developed for recurring tasks.
