Felix Zimmermann
Felix is in his final year of the three-year apprenticeship program for vehicle painters. He was selected from numerous applicants due to his artistic background and portfolio of custom artwork. Before starting his apprenticeship, he completed his Abitur with a focus on chemistry and art, giving him a strong theoretical foundation for paint application and color theory.
Experience: Advanced apprentice nearing qualification (2/10)
Favorite Jobs
- Base coat application
- Color mixing
- Custom airbrush detailing
Learning this craft at such a prestigious shop is both intimidating and inspiring. Every day I try to absorb as much knowledge as possible from the masters around me while bringing fresh perspectives from my art background.
Physical Condition
Tired from balancing vocational school studies with practical training. Recently suffered a minor cut on his hand from a preparation tool, which is healing well but requires him to wear additional protection during chemical handling.
Favorite Place
Felix's favorite place is the apprentice corner where he can practice techniques on test panels. This well-lit area was specifically designed for training, with exhaust ventilation, specialized lighting, and storage for practice materials. He spends his free moments here experimenting with techniques demonstrated by the senior painters, often practicing the same motion dozens of times until it becomes muscle memory. Felix finds this area particularly valuable because it allows him to make mistakes and learn without the pressure of working on client vehicles.
