Alexei finds special meaning in Olympiapark, built for the 1972 Munich Olympics. The innovative concrete structures by architect Frei Otto represent what he considers the highest art form in his trade. He regularly visits to carefully study how these pioneering concrete shells have weathered over five decades. The nearby Ukrainian church also provides him a connection to his homeland, making this area a perfect combination of professional inspiration and personal comfort.
