Michael Schneider
Michael completed his apprenticeship with Elektro Schmidt four years ago and was hired permanently afterward. He grew up in a family where his father worked in construction, which inspired his interest in the trades. While initially undecided between becoming an electrician or HVAC technician, a school internship with an electrical company convinced him that the electrical field offered more technological challenges.
Experience: 7 years including apprenticeship (6/10)
Favorite Jobs
- Photovoltaic system installation
- Electric vehicle charging station setup
- Residential rewiring projects
I'm particularly passionate about renewable energy installations. There's something rewarding about setting up a system that will generate clean power for decades to come and knowing you played a part in the energy transition.
Physical Condition
Generally healthy and physically fit, though often tired at the end of the week from the physical demands of the job. Recently had a minor hand injury from a cable cutting accident that required three stitches, but has fully recovered.
Favorite Place
Michael loves working on residential rooftops during photovoltaic installations, especially on clear days with views of the Bavarian countryside or Munich's skyline in the distance. The combination of technical work, fresh air, and perspective creates a uniquely satisfying work environment for him. He appreciates how these elevated workspaces separate him from the usual construction site chaos and allow him to focus completely on the precision required for solar panel mounting and wiring.
