Michael has a background in both carpentry and fine cabinetmaking, having worked in construction before specializing in high-end interiors. He joined ModernWood eight years ago to lead their installation team. His experience in both rough carpentry and fine finishing makes him particularly valuable when ModernWood's pieces need to integrate with existing architectural elements.

Installation is where all the planning meets reality. No matter how perfect the pieces are when they leave the workshop, the true test is how they fit and function in the client's space. I take pride in ensuring that final mile of quality control and client satisfaction.

Physical Condition

Michael is currently nursing a sore shoulder from an awkward lift during yesterday's installation. Years of physical work have caused recurring issues with his rotator cuff, and today he's feeling significant discomfort when reaching overhead.

Favorite Place

Nothing compares to the moment of revealing a completed installation to a client. Whether it's a complete kitchen, a wall of built-ins, or a statement dining table, that moment when the protective coverings come off and the client sees the finished work in their space is magical. I've arranged our final cleaning kits and presentation materials specifically to enhance this experience.
