Sophia Müller
Sophia came to arboriculture after initially studying environmental science at university. During an internship with a municipal parks department, she discovered her passion for hands-on tree work and switched to vocational training. She joined Baumwelt Schmidt three years ago after completing her apprenticeship and additional certification in tree risk assessment.
Experience: 5 years of professional experience in arboriculture (6/10)
Favorite Jobs
- Tree health assessments
- Fruit tree pruning
- Client education
Understanding the science behind tree care makes me a better arborist. I love combining my knowledge of biology with practical skills to improve urban tree health. Seeing a declining tree recover after proper intervention is incredibly rewarding.
Physical Condition
Sophia is physically fit and has excellent climbing stamina. She is often assigned to jobs requiring extended periods in the canopy. Today she is experiencing mild fatigue from a weekend mountain biking trip but is otherwise in perfect condition to perform all work duties.
Favorite Place
Sophia's favorite place is the botanical garden in Berlin-Dahlem where she volunteers once a month caring for their collection of rare and historic trees. She values the opportunity to work with species she wouldn't normally encounter and to learn from the garden's dendrologists. The peaceful atmosphere and scientific approach to plant care resonates with her background in environmental science and feeds her intellectual curiosity about trees.
