Lukas Weber
Lukas joined Baumwelt Schmidt directly after completing his arborist apprenticeship eight years ago. He initially wanted to become a forest ranger but discovered his passion for working with individual trees rather than forest management during a summer job with a tree care company. His exceptional climbing skills and attention to detail quickly made him a valuable team member.
Experience: 8 years of professional experience as a certified arborist (7/10)
Favorite Jobs
- Technical rigging operations
- Crown restoration
- Emergency storm response
There's an art to proper pruning that balances the tree's biology with human needs. I love the problem-solving aspect of our work – each tree presents a unique puzzle that requires both technical knowledge and creativity to solve.
Physical Condition
Lukas is generally in excellent condition and maintains a rigorous fitness routine. However, today he's experiencing some shoulder stiffness from yesterday's demanding rigging operation involving a large dead beech tree. He's still fully capable of performing all tasks but is being mindful of his technique.
Favorite Place
Lukas's favorite place is a centuries-old oak tree in Tiergarten park that he helped save from a serious fungal infection five years ago. He visits it regularly to monitor its recovery and often brings his lunch to eat beneath its spreading canopy. Watching the gradual healing process and the return of wildlife to the tree gives him tremendous professional satisfaction and reminds him of the lasting impact of quality tree care.
