Klaus Schmidt

Klaus founded Baumpflege Schmidt in 2004 after working for 15 years in forestry. He completed his Meister qualification in arboriculture and decided to start his own business when he saw growing demand for specialized tree care in urban areas.

Trees are living structures that tell their own stories if you know how to read them. I've dedicated my life to understanding their language and teaching others to appreciate the balance between human needs and tree health.

Physical Condition

Despite being in good shape overall from decades of physical work, Klaus suffers from occasional back pain from years of climbing. Today he feels some stiffness in his lower back but manages it well through stretches he's learned over the years.

Favorite Place

Klaus loves the ancient oak forest in Königsforst just outside Cologne. He finds peace among the centuries-old trees and often visits early in the morning before work to center himself. The changing seasons in this forest remind him why he chose this profession and help him reconnect with nature when business pressures mount.
