Jan Krause

Jan joined Schnell Auto-Lackierzentrum as an apprentice after completing his secondary education. He showed interest in automotive refinishing after participating in a school career day at a local vocational center. Jan is in his final year of the three-year Fahrzeuglackierer apprenticeship program and attends vocational school one day per week.

I'm fascinated by how different materials and techniques come together to create a perfect finish. Every day I learn something new, and Markus and Julia have been amazing mentors showing me refinements I wouldn't have figured out on my own.

Physical Condition

Strong and healthy, though sometimes suffers minor cuts and abrasions from still developing proper technique with tools. Today he has a small cut on his hand from yesterday's sanding work.

Favorite Place

Jan gravitates toward the preparation area where apprentices typically begin their training. He appreciates the opportunity to observe the journeymen and masters at work from this vantage point while practicing his own skills. He keeps a small notebook tucked in his workstation where he meticulously records techniques and advice shared by the senior staff, referring to it frequently to improve his craft.
