Klaus has been with Schnell since its founding in 1997, having followed Thomas from Mercedes-Benz. He never pursued a Meister qualification but has developed unparalleled expertise in preparation work. His meticulous attention to body preparation has earned him respect throughout the shop and with regular customers.

A perfect paint job is impossible without perfect preparation. I can spot imperfections others miss, and I've saved countless jobs from potential failure by insisting on proper prep work, even when time is tight.

Physical Condition

Suffering from chronic back pain from decades of bending and sanding. Today the pain is particularly bad after a busy week of prep work on several commercial vehicles.

Favorite Place

Klaus prefers his meticulously organized prep station where everything has its place, from sanding blocks to body fillers. He has customized the space with additional task lighting and built a special rack for his extensive collection of sanding tools. His station is slightly separated from others to minimize dust contamination, and he keeps an old but immaculately maintained radio that plays classical music while he works.
