Pinturas do Zé MEI
Salvador
About the company
José 'Zé' Oliveira started his informal workshop in 2010 after 15 years working for others. He formalized the business as MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur) in 2015, operating a small but busy shop in a working-class neighborhood.
Values
Getting jobs done quickly at affordable prices is our main focus. Safety measures are basic - masks and gloves are available but not always used. Environmental considerations are minimal, though we try to avoid obvious spills or waste. The shop operates on thin margins, so formal safety programs are not a priority.
Workshop
The 150m² workshop is located in a converted garage with one basic spray booth. The work area is cramped but functional, with basic ventilation fans and fluorescent lighting. Tools and materials are stored wherever space allows. The prep area doubles as a storage space during busy periods. The office consists of a small desk in the corner. Despite limited space, the team manages to maintain a steady workflow through careful scheduling.
