John joined Elite Frame Masters right after completing a construction program at Gateway Community College. He's in his second year of apprenticeship and has shown natural talent for complex roof framing. His enthusiasm for learning has made him a favorite among the senior framers.

Every day I learn something new from the experienced guys on the crew. The way they can look at a set of plans and visualize the finished structure amazes me, and I'm working hard to develop those same skills.

Tired from adapting to physical demands of the job, but otherwise in excellent shape.

Favorite Place

John's favorite place is the company's training area where he can practice new techniques without the pressure of production deadlines. The mock-up walls and roof sections allow him to perfect his cuts and connections, and the senior framers often use their breaks to show him tricks of the trade. He appreciates how this space has accelerated his learning.
