Favorite Jobs
- Timber frame construction
- Apprentice training
- Complex roof systems
The smell of fresh-cut timber and the satisfaction of a perfectly squared frame never gets old. Teaching the next generation of craftsmen keeps me passionate about what I do.
Physical Condition
Experiencing some joint degeneration in knees from years of climbing and kneeling, but maintains good overall strength
Favorite Place
The timber frame preparation area is where I feel most at home. The massive Douglas fir beams waiting to be shaped into intricate joinery remind me of my early days learning the trade. The traditional tools hanging on the wall alongside modern equipment represent the perfect blend of old and new techniques.
