Markus Hoffmann
Markus completed his arborist apprenticeship after initially working as a construction worker. The transition to arboriculture came after helping a friend's tree service company during a busy storm season. He was immediately drawn to the technical aspects of the work and the physical challenges of climbing. Markus joined Baumpflege Müller in 2012 and quickly progressed to lead climber due to his exceptional technical abilities.
Experience: Certified Arborist with 12 years of climbing experience (8/10)
Favorite Jobs
- Technical removals
- Crown reduction
- Aerial rescue training
The rope and harness become extensions of your body after years of climbing. Each tree presents a unique puzzle that requires both physical skill and creative thinking to solve safely and efficiently.
Physical Condition
Markus is extremely fit with exceptional upper body strength from daily climbing. Today he's dealing with a mild headache from dehydration during yesterday's long job, but this isn't affecting his work performance significantly.
Favorite Place
Markus's favorite place is the climbing gym where he trains during winter months to maintain strength and technique. The controlled environment allows him to practice movements that translate to his work in trees. He appreciates the camaraderie with other climbers who come from various backgrounds but share his passion for working at height and problem-solving vertical challenges.
