Lee Jae-sung
Lee graduated from Korea Polytechnic College with a degree in architectural woodworking. He joined Hana Traditional Woodworks three years ago after seeing Master Cho demonstrate traditional joinery techniques at a craft fair. Unlike most younger carpenters, he specifically sought out traditional training rather than focusing on modern construction methods.

Favorite Jobs
- Tool maintenance
- Wood preparation
- Learning complex joinery
My friends don't understand why I chose such a physically demanding job when I could be working in technology. But when you finish a joint that's been made the same way for centuries and it fits perfectly, there's a satisfaction that coding can't provide.
Physical Condition
Young and physically fit with exceptional hand-eye coordination. Today he is completely healthy and energetic, eager to take on challenging tasks that older team members might find physically demanding.
Favorite Place
The wood storage area where raw materials are kept before processing. He loves examining the grain patterns and qualities of different wood species, often arriving early to spend time selecting the perfect pieces for upcoming projects. The earthy smell of the wood and the quietness of this space provides him with a meditative start to each workday.
