Nguyen Tuan

Tuan came to South Korea from Vietnam eight years ago under the Employment Permit System. He had previous experience as a carpenter in Vietnam and quickly proved his skills at Hanyang Mokjae. After improving his Korean language abilities and obtaining proper certifications, he was promoted from helper to journeyman and now specializes in modern framing techniques.

Physical Condition

Strong and agile, but experiencing back pain today from helping a friend move furniture over the weekend. He occasionally suffers from headaches due to poor ventilation on some job sites despite the company's dust extraction system.

Favorite Place

Tuan's favorite place is Hangang Park along the Han River where he often goes fishing on his days off. The expansive views of Seoul's skyline remind him of how many buildings he has helped construct since coming to Korea. The peaceful riverside setting offers a welcome contrast to the noise and intensity of construction sites, and the fishing activity requires the same patience and focus he applies to his carpentry work. He often brings home his catch to prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes that remind him of home.
