Kim Ji-hoon

Kim learned carpentry from his father who was a traditional Korean carpenter specializing in hanok construction. He joined Dongbu Framing Services in 2008 after working for several larger construction companies, seeking a smaller company where he could have more input on projects.

Kim is in excellent physical condition for his age, maintaining his strength through regular exercise. Today he is showing no signs of fatigue or discomfort, moving efficiently between tasks on the job site.

Favorite Place

Kim's favorite place is Haeundae Beach in Busan during early morning hours before tourists arrive. He walks along the shoreline collecting unique driftwood pieces that sometimes inspire joint designs in his carpentry work. The rhythmic sound of waves helps clear his mind of complex structural calculations and project timelines that occupy his thoughts throughout the workweek.
